Doringpoort Safari Lodge is nestled in the unspoilt bush that borders the southern tip of the World renowned Kruger National Park wildlife conservancy. It has its own unique atmosphere with all the luxuries to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay in the bush. Doringpoort Lodge is a unique establishment within Marloth Park.
You are offered Luxury Self-catering accommodation with the following extra options:
Self-catering, stock-up, just bring your cloths. Email us your shopping list 72 hours in advance, we stock the unit with the items of the list, the service will cost you an extra R150 per shopping request.
B&B option, your breakfast can be packed to go or served in the comfort of your own private dining space and we will do the dishes.
Additional meals by prior arrangement 48hours in advance (Dinner & Lunch), from a set menu.
A couple of the properties unique features include, Lemoentjiedoring’s open air kitchen, which has a garden view & Apiesdoring’s open air shower & toilet with a true African bush veld view & en-suite bathrooms in all of our rooms, Knoppiedorings safety & luxury combined.
Start or end your day with a relaxing walk along the banks of the Crocodile River just 120m from your accommodation.
The Lodge is located within a private conservancy, affording guests a unique opportunity to appreciate the abundance of free-roaming game and birdlife. Undercover parking is also available (one per unit). Guests can use their own high clearance vehicle for self – drive game drives. Walking, running and mountain biking are allowed within the conservancy. Marloth Park has his own small shopping centre (enquire about operating hours), where you are able to purchase all of the basic necessities you may require. Crocodile Bridge gate is our nearest entry point into Kruger Park and is only 20 km away.
Doringpoort also adds the extra service on an on-site Tour desk that is available to arrange all activities within Kruger Park and the surrounding areas, subject to availability. For your convenience we also have an on-site convenience shop with some basic items, like wood, ice, braai packs, charcoal, blitz, water and coffee pods & dark roast coarse ground(coffee plunger available in room).

A backup 35-kva diesel generator is installed in case of power failure and free wi-fi throughout the property & full DStv in each unit.
Area Description
Marloth Park is a unique project. It opened in 1972 as a holiday township, though a large part of the park remained natural. It is a wildlife sanctuary and Holiday Town on 3,000ha, boasting four of the Big Five with the exception of Elephant in our neighbouring Lionspruit(1,500ha) game reserve. Game such as Kudu, Zebra, Giraffe, Blue wildebeest, Nyala, Impala, Warthog, Ostrich and others small game aren’t restricted by fences and roam freely inside Marloth Park. We also have a rich an abundant bird life. Be sure not to miss the smaller species of our amazing wildlife such as tortoises, lizards, plants etc.
Situated in North-Eastern South Africa in Mpumalanga Province and on the banks of the Crocodile River that forms the southern border of the Kruger National Park, between Malelane and Komatipoort on the N4 national highway with a well-developed infrastructure. There are no internal fences and the vegetation remains in its original state. Marloth Park is separated from Kruger National Park by a boundary fence and the Crocodile River for 16 km. If you are lucky you may even be able to catch a glimpse of Lion, Leopard, Wild-dog and Hyena. Not to forget the majestic Elephants that come down during the day to bath in the river. After sunset until sunrise, movement is confined to the housing units. While out walking along the Crocodile River, visitors can watch spectacular wildlife scenes in the adjacent Kruger National Park.
Marloth is the ideal location to vacation outside of the Kruger National Park and visit the park as a day visitor.
Kruger
The Kruger National Park with the famous Big 5 and a variety of other animals with an abundant bird life, is an absolute must to visit. There is 145 different mammal and over 500 bird species in the park. Nearest Kruger Park entrances, Crocodile Bridge Gate (20 km) and Malelane Gate (45 km), can easily be accessed from us. Marloth Park is a natural stopover point for tourists travelling to the Kruger National Park, Mozambique and Swaziland.
